The original painting 'Sycamore Leaf' was awarded the Maureen Hinchcliffe Award for best drawing or watercolour in the Wirral Society of Arts exhibition, held at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum, Birkenhead, Wirral. The watercolour and gouache painting was based on photographs and sketches taken in the artists garden.
